The antennas was up from the trees about 3- 4 meters from the ground and i was receiving 5/9+ signals. It was incredible when i was on air as C91GBA, great performances with a simple station, FT-857 with 80 W.

I wanted a discrete and effective antenna. The wind does not affect anything, low noise level. At only 3 meters high I reach repeaters over 100 kilometers with 10 W. at 100%.

A SMALL and GREAT antenna. I wanted something small and easy to carry to my activities on the mountain, weighs nothing. Perfect fit in RX / TX. A great design and success for the activators of SOTA.

Compared to an X-50 it has nothing to do

After 4 years using Hexbeam, I changed to a 2BS-5B. The reception at my QTH city has greatly improved. I open and close the band and now I listen DXCC that I had never heard before. Very solid construction. I'm very happy.

A very good change, this antenna is a luxury.
